Cooktown, Queensland (2010) by Sean Davey has been shortlisted for this year's William and Winifred Bowness Prize which will be exhibited at the Monash Gallery of Art in Victoria.Thirty-four entries were selected for the exhibition from almost two thousand entries. The shortlisted works are available for viewing at the Monash Gallery of Art flickr website.

ANCESTRY by Mayu Kanamori is part of PLATFORM 1, which will be presented by The Weather Exchange in Sydney, NSW on July 24 at 7pm.

- Sean Davey will be facilitating a photography and story telling workshop in conjunction with a MIAC (Melanesian Institute of Arts and Communication) and the University of PNG, as part of a community arts development workshop in Gerehu, Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea from July 5 until July 16.

From Brooklyn, NSW to Baghdad, Iraq to Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea, Instant Pictures reveals a strong autobiographical narrative which allows the viewer intimate access to David's personal photographic observations.

Dr Jacqueline Lo will present the keynote address 'B(e)aring Memory: Invoking the Dead' at STRIPPING BARE! as part of the 2010 Australasian Association for Theatre, Drama and Performance Studies conference at the Australian National University in Canberra. Dr. Lo's address will focus on Mayu Kanamori's work In Repose.

- Copies of 8 Mile: photographs from the margins of Port Moresby will be available at the Winter Book Fair at the Australian Centre for Photography in Sydney on Saturday June 19. The Winter Book Fair will be open from 10am until 4pm.
